e-Commerce website for the leading textile chain. The website offers the chain’s range of collections and products, enabling users to easily make purchases. It also manages a customers’ club.

Introduction
Kitan, a company that specializes in the development, manufacturing and sale of textiles in Israel and around the world, made a strategic decision to launch an e-Commerce website for its online sales.
The Challenge
The migration of a successful store from the offline world to e-Commerce is no simple task. In the design of this project for this leading chain, we were required to take up several challenges:
- The design of the website and the planning of the user experience are consistent with the buying experience at the chain’s stores.
- Intelligent design of the data architecture, which does not necessarily have to match the structure of the physical stores.
- Integration of image elements into an intrinsically commercial website, such that it eases the process of reaching the high conversion rate required to put in operation a significantly profitable virtual shop.
- Creation of a user-friendly UI adapted to the target audience, which is not necessarily the classic user of virtual stores.
The Solution
The new Kitan e-Commerce website is based on the cdtech content-management system. It was established after an in-depth evaluation process that included aspects of navigation and user experience. The UI is easy to use and on the eye, and is not overly sophisticated, which helps support a clear and quick buying process.
The website also relies on the chain’s already established customers’ club, which offers image and marketing content and also targets organizations that wish to make purchases for their workers unions.
The Results
Kitan’s website has become a legitimate sales channel on the net and its sales are constantly on the rise. Kitan continues to work with cdtech to improve the website and provide its customers with an optimum buying experience.
